We are pleased to inform you that the Biomedical Engineering Association of Malaysia (BEAM) will be organizing an important course for those involves in the engineering healthcare industries, namely, “Basic Course on Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS) in Hospitals for Hospital Engineers and Maintenance Executives”.
The course is designed to raise awareness of Medical Gas standards and will provide participants the necessary up-to-date basic knowledge and know-how on all matters regarding Medical Gas Pipeline Systems and its requirements, an important element as a preparation for individuals to further their learning opportunities into skills and competence of Medical Gas System in the future.
This is a course for hospital engineers and maintenance managers/ executives which emphasizes the management of fixed medical gas pipelines in line with HTM 02-01/ MS ISO 7396-1,a pre-course leading to competency qualification.

Invitation to Participate in the 22nd IFHE Congress together with BEAM and other Malaysian Delegates

22nd Congress of The International Federation of Hospital Engineering (IFHE), Hurtigruten Coastal Express | Tromsø–Bergen | 13–17 April 2012
This year, the International Federation of Hospital Engineering (IFHE) International Conference and Exhibition will be held in April taking place on the Norwegian coastal steamer from Tromsø to Bergen, Norway.
The theme of the congress is A Voyage through International and Norwegian Hospitals.
IFHE is an international body established to unite the broad field of hospital and healthcare facility design, construction, engineering, commissioning, maintenance, and estate management. The IFHE congress is one of the most important events for those involved in the field of hospital engineering. It contributes in providing latest healthcare engineering information, on new technology used in healthcare industries across the world and of course, a main venue for global healthcare engineers and others to meet, discuss, exchange ideas and learn from each others experiences.
As we have known, the Biomedical Engineering Association of Malaysia (BEAM) is a member of this important organization. Apart from participating in the congress, BEAM, as an active member, would also like to invite representatives from your organization to be part of the Malaysian/ BEAM delegation to the congress in Norway. During the Conference BEAM will put up a bid to host the IFHE Council Meeting to be held in Kuala Lumpur sometime in June 2013.
BEAM firmly believes that your representation and support for the IFHE Congress, as been shown through the years, is essential in the continuous contributions to the advancement of Hospital Engineering Services in Malaysia.
It is also expected that senior representatives from the Engineering Division, Ministry of Health will be attending this IFHE Conference.In putting our intention forward, BEAM is planning to organize the congress registration, participation and visitation program during our period in Norway.
